The background to this legislation is that The Party Wall etc. Act 1996 came into existence to help prevent and resolve disputes that potentially could arise in relation to building works involving a party wall or party fence wall. This legislation applies throughout England and Wales.

Our Party Wall Surveyors are members of the Pyramus & Thisbe Club, founded in 1974 and is now considered to be the leading organisation for professionals specialising in party wall matters. The aim of the organisation is to improve knowledge of the legislation and its procedures and promote best practice. Our Surveyors are also included in their Register for Party Wall Surveyors
